Garden

We started a garden this weekend! I'm so excited. We started the seeds inside in this little greenhouse seedling kit. There's cucumbers, two kinds of tomatoes, and watermelon. Jackson wanted watermelon. I also took the opportunity of all the space in the little kit to plant some more herbs. The ones I have planted on the living room window sill are looking a little sad, and the basil just never took off. I planted basil, chives, cilantro and parsley.
The grill also it's appearance this weekend. I made burgers on it last night. Yum. So begins the season of outdoor cooking. I love it. I need to get a fish/veggie basket this year though, because we are NOT eating steaks, ribs, and burgers all year, lol.
Eating was not right Sunday. I ate Doritos. Why do I feel like I'm in a confessional??? Forgive me readers, for I have sinned;) I not only ate Doritos, but I had a bagel with veggie cream cheese for breakfast. Instead of the usual green smoothie. I did, however, make some fresh carrot apple juice. So it wasn't a total wash. I'm happy to say the Doritos have left the building, so there's no more temptation. I should never have bought them, but I just had this craving for chips. Oh well, I'm human. I make mistakes. It's the journey, not the destination, right?
I've planned out my day today in the CRON-o-meter. Green smoothie, fresh fruit, grilled chicken and broccoli for dinner, and some healthy hot and sour soup. Much better. I have to atone for my indiscretions yesterday:) I'll be completely on pointe today.
On a lighter note, my son had a soccer game yesterday and just stood on the field. The ball went right by him along with a gaggle of children and he just stood right in his little spot on defense. Sheesh. We were freezing our butts off out there on that field watching him do NOTHING. Little rat. Oh well, maybe he'll decide to play next time, lol.
